10 YEARS OF ART AND SCHOOL
2011 - 2021
ART + SCHOOL + ENVIRONMENT + TIME + NETWORKS + LIGHT + VOID + CHAOS + TABOO + SHELTER + FICTION + GAMES&PLAY
It's been 10 years since ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies and the Centre de Recursos Pedagògics d'Osona planted the seed of Art and School, a programme aiming to promote the presence of contemporary art in schools, establishing a network of collaborations between various institutions and people who work in the fields of art and education.
Art and School was conceived and has grown among all the people who have been part of it -in many cases, disinterestedly-, from the promotion team, the members of the team of advisers, the teachers and members of the teaching staff who have shown enthusiasm for the project, and the students, who ultimately occupy the the centre around which all the gears of the project’s mechanism turn.
Art and School offers a framework for critical reflection on the perspective of art as seen through education. On the fundamental role of art in an interdisciplinary education, which encourages the capacity for expression, creativity and a critical eye in younger and older children.
Over these 10 years, 28,253 students from 73 different schools have participated in Art and School, carrying out 315 different projects over the 10 editions. 68 different people have formed part of the advisory team, and the programme has been deployed in neighbouring counties with the help of other municipalities and institutions.
For all this, we would like to pay tribute to all these people who have added so much to the programme, with a series of activities during 2021.

GOULA. A PROJECT ABOUT ART, GAMES AND MEMORY
An exhibition by Montsita Rierola and Jordi Lafon, with the collaboration of several playful people, curated by Ana M. Palomo.
29.01 – 25.04.21
Museu de l’Art de la Pell (C. Arquebisbe Alemany, 5. Vic)
Goula. A project of art, games and memory is the result of a fascination. When some time ago, an abundant stock of miniatures, figures and educational games, emerging from the closure of the Goula factory, fascinated Jordi Lafon and Montsita Rierola, an interesting game, constructed specifically on cultural values, began.
This huge project, more than ten years in the incubation, is a multidisciplinary exercise part-way between archeology, anthropology and sociology, which considers the value of games in the context of art, memory and education.*
> Educational activities and guided tours of the exhibition by Assumpta Cirera_Tuti. Contact ACVIC in advance to book free activities.
