RAG DOLLS AND IMAGINARY CHARACTERS   
A workshop in creating with recycled materials

A course by Bruna Dinarès and Elisabet Wenceslao

DATES AND VENUE
From Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th January 2014 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
Saturday 4th at 12.00 am: The characters will be introduced to families!. Open to public

WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
Children aged 5 to 10 years who want to have fun playing and experimenting with art, recycling and imagination!

FEE
20,00 € (16,00 € for Friends of ACVic and members of H. Associació per a les Arts Contemporànies). The registration period is from 20th November to 20th December 2013.
Limited places. No reservation is confirmed without full payment of the fare.

INTRODUCTION
Are you ready to think up loads of stories, characters and instruments out of your imagination?
In the course, you'll learn to express positive emotions while building a fictitious character, or one based on a real figure. You'll work with emotions and personal relationships in the physical expression of our characters, as well as in colours, forms, sounds, spaces, etc..

COURSE CONTENT

• 1st session. Thursday 2nd January 2014
Who are we? Games and activities to help us learn more about each other and to define our characters using facial and physical expressions and gestures so they can express positive feelings. What should the character be like?  What colour could it be? How does it move? What is does it look like? Where does it live?

Visit to the exhibition Sota l’obra de l’optimisme.

• 2a session. Friday 3th January 2014
Com és el nostre personatge? What is our character like? What must s/he be thinking? What kind of character is s/he? How does s/he relate to other characters?

• 3a sesión. Sábado 4 de enero de 2014
Construction of the figures. Now that you have the star performer with all her/his characteristic traits, you can create your doll or puppet using recycled materials, such as cloth, coloured paper, milk or juice cartons, leaves , chestnuts , cellophane etc.

Presentation of characters to participants' to families at 12.00 am. Open to public.
