For boys and girls from 10 to 14 years

All week from the 12th to the 16th of July
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies

How, when, and above all why do we humans play? And what relationship do artists establish with games and play during the creative process?
In this workshop, participants will experiment with the creative possibilities of art through play, in order to develop and create an interactive artistic project to be shared with members of the general public passing by.

CONTENTS OF THE WORKSHOP

Throughout the week, participants will share a common objective: to create a game that may be played with the public at large.
This participative workshop will be structured through short daily activities, followed by a period of time for collective creation.

1st session. Monday 12th: Who are we?
Homo ludens. Where we are and who we are.

2nd session. Tuesday 13th: What about the artists?
Games and the creative process.

3rd session. Wednesday 14th: Ready...
Happenings. The role of the public.

4th session. Thursday 15th: Steady...
Why do we play? What games do we play?

5th session. Friday 16th: GO!
An artistic intervention in public space, to finish off with.

PRICE
€ 50 (€ 40 for Friends of ACVIC, members of H. Associació per a les Arts Contemporànies, and participants in previous ACVIC workshops). Places in the workshop may be booked using the registration form, until Tuesday, July 6th, 2021. Please note that the number of places is limited, and that reservations will be processed by order of receipt of payment.

REQUIREMENTS
We recommend that participants bring a mid-morning snack, and wear clothing that no one minds getting a bit messy. Some activities will take place outside the ACVIC centre.
