TIEMBLA is the everyday story of confronting and accepting a neurodegenerative disease at an early age. It is a personal reflection on how to lead a new life in the company of the disease. The bold line drawings accentuate the author's flat, non-dramatic tone, to find answers to an uncertain future.
Ramon Ricart (Vic, 1967). has dedicated much of his professional life to teaching in schools of Art and Design. He has combined teaching with projects related to design, illustration and comics, and has participated in various group exhibitions.
Recent projects include curating and participating in the exhibition Originals / Inèdits (Illustrators of Osona) (2016), the multidisciplinary project FA NO FA (2018), illustrations for the poetry book BLAUS by Joan Palau and the exhibition SELF-PORTRAIT at ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies de Vic (2021). He is currently exhibiting SELF-PORTRAIT 2 / PUNT I SEGUIT at the La Llotja School of Art and Design in Barcelona, and posting the weekly comic strip Punto y Línea on Instagram. Tiembla is his first graphic novel, published by Bang Ediciones.
