A workshop for young people in collaboration with the Residència El Nadal

At ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies Some sessions will take place at the Residència El Nadal
ACVIC and the Residència El Nadal will open a space for sharing among people of different generations. How do we communicate with each other? What activities can we share? What possibilities does art offer us to create shared moments?
Professionals from the Residència El Nadal will supply workshop participants with the day-to-day context of running the residential space. ACVIC’s team will support them during the working process. The young participants will shape the project, deciding upon the artwork to be developed together with the elderly people of the residence.

Tuesday 25th – Meeting at Residència El Nadal
Meeting the residents from El Nadal learning about day-to-day life within the space.
Wednesday 26th – Meeting at ACVIC
Session to organise Friday’s joint activity
Thursday 27th – Meeting at ACVIC
Session to organise Friday’s joint activity
Friday 28th – Meeting at the Residència El Nadal
Final meeting and joint activity organised and led by the participating group.
Workshop covering a range of artistic disciplines to explore the social possibilities which the arts offer for reflection and for relationships among people. The workshop will also tackle issues related to the ways in which people communicate in today's society. How do young people communicate? What about the elderly? What are the differences between correspondence by letter, communication through a video call, and a WhatsApp exchange? What advantages do each have over the others? Under which circumstances might each form of communication be more appropriate than the others?

Free workshop. Prior registration is required.
