TEACHERS
blablaBLAB (an ironic recursive acronym of "laboratori adisciplinar blablabLAB") is a structure of cross-disciplinary collaboration. It works within the cultural environment of the average citizen, through the collective imaginary, in the present moment, while at the same time generating prospects for the future. It develops its production with a distinctly political purpose, through parasitism upon, and erosion of, various disciplinary fields (science, technology, finance, biology, art, advertising, food ...), without a preset means or format for working, and with an extropian philosophy joining together with a DIY practice towards knowledge, combining generation, property, and diffusion-. Blablablab Imagines strategies and invents tools for confronting society with its multifaceted and complex, urban, technological, alienated, and hyperconsumerist reality. Haberlandt and Be Your Own Souvenir, the two most recent projects of this collective, were both recognised with an honourable mention at the Prix Ars Electronica Awards 2011 in the categories The Next Idea and Hybrid Arts, respectively.
