Dokuart is a research project to devise a new synchretic language. Beginning in 2000, a socialising narration was created for a research into the socio-cultural fabric, and the people who did not play a leading role – cultural agents from the eighties, the nineties, the noughties – who were filmed using a conversational interview format, generating more than 300 personal conversations on the subject of art.

UN PAS A DOS
The pathways of creation. A discourse about method/s
april-may 2014
The sessions will take place at 19.30 h in El Gravat (Sant Miquel, 19)
The pathways and methods of creation often help us with a definition and a comprehension not only of artists and their works, but also of the strategies they have established in conceiving of, interpreting and intervening in the world.
This is a season of four open and relaxed dialogues with artists from different disciplines, focusing on the processes and mechanisms of creation, on their careers and their ongoing work, and on how this activity can help us to interpret and learn about reality.
CASANOVA-DRÀCULA
With Story of My Death, Albert Serra established a lucid connection between these two myths of Western culture , and also linked them to the experience of artistic creation.
Seduction and vampirism may be the defining motifs of artistic practice, understood from the perspectives of both the creator and the receiver of the work. And these are the areas which the series aims to explore, taking inspiration from Serra's work.
There will be a screening and a review of the film, a perspective and discourse by Vicenç Altaió regarding all aspects of contemporary art, a look at the emergence of Serra in the world of visual arts at Documenta 13 in Kassel (2012), and a look through the eyes of two photographers on the presence of Casanova and Dracula in our surroundings.
