MAPS AT THE CENTRE OCUPACIONAL DE SANT TOMÀS
During the months of March and April 2012 the MAPS project was carried out with two groups of Centre Ocupacional de Sant Tomàs (PARMO).
They worked in 2 groups, the first of 7 participants and the second of 9. The activity lasted for 6 hours (group 1: 2 sessions of 3 hours. / Group 2: 3 sessions of 2 hours.)
In the first session, ACVic introduced the activity and participants. Users took their first look at the map discovering the streets on the route and trying to recognise the marked spaces.
Also in this session, participants learned how to use the camera, and started practicing taking some pictures; they did not know the world of photography.
First group started touring the historical centre of Vic. Following the map the seven locations were found and recognised where, in shifts, each participant took a photograph of the group and of the monument. The second group started the tour on the second day of the workshop.
During the last session at the Occupational Centre, the route was remembered and both groups pasted copies of the photos on each of the locations on the map. Then everyone drew their favourite space in the City of Vic.
