The exhibition Sketching Time, to be presented at the Art School of Vic, pays tribute to Fina Padrós (1968-2019). It will include works by the artist herself, and at ACVic Centre d’Arts Contemporànies more of her work will be exhibited, as well as artworks by friends, colleagues and members of her family who wished to add particular items that connect them to her memory. The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication that opens up the story told by the exhibition, with more graphic documentation of Fina Padrós’s work, and three texts: by Marta Negre, Jordi Pou and the artist herself.
How can you represent, within the work itself, how the days, experienced with their durations, sensations and visions, accumulate and mount up? One after another, one on top of another, one erasing another, and then the next, and the one after that, and the one now, and the one before that. And all of a sudden, you find yourself in a stupor watching how leaves move, or how the creases on the bed-sheets move, and you realise that time has passed by while you’ve been watching a cat crossing the yard, or you see everything happening at once, without the possibility of bringing order to it, or of stopping it. Or maybe there is no possible order.
