Esborradís i blanc (Erasable and white) is an exhibition dedicated to Aina Roca Anfruns (1976-2020) promoted by ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies, the University of Vic-UCC, and the Escola d’Art de Vic. It includes a presentation of selected artworks, displayed in the hall of the Escola d’Art de Vic, from different moments in her career in the field of art, from the formative stage to the consolidation of her artistic language: first drafts, attempts at different techniques of expression, works from exhibitions and projects, and others which have never been publicly displayed. This is a small exhibition which pays tribute to Aina, aiming to highlight the sensitivity and solidity that characterise her intellectual and creative work.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication from Camí de Marges which will expand upon the vision of Aina’s artistic dimension, incorporating more graphic documentation of her work and artistic experiences, complemented by her texts, and other texts.
[…] Paper has ceased to be a pictorial support, to be physical substance. Open it up, lay it bare, model it, make incisions in it, modify it without addition or subtraction. Let the material be displayed, beginning with a minimalist performance, which ends up incorporated in the work via its sound recording. Halfway between the painting and somewhere else, the pictorial support is transformed into space and demands attention.
