From the 5th to the 9th of July we celebrate the Encontres Internacionals Art del Caminar i Geografies Relacionals ( The Art of Walking and Relational Geographies International Meetings). Walking as art and a source of creativity, as a strategy for creating communities, and as an approach to experiencing the countryside.
We have invited artists, researchers and scholars from all over the world who are interested in walking, practised from multiple perspectives; urbanism, politics, poetry, creation, society and spirituality.
The meetings will take place in Girona, Vic and Olot, itinerant, like walking itself, and each meeting will be coloured by the local identities of all the locations through which they pass. The Universitat de Vic, the Universitat de Girona, and the Observatori del Paisatge (the Landscape Observatory) have collaborated in organisation.
